The Cars That Ate Paris

In the hard edged near future, anti-hero Arthur Waldo (Terry Camilleri) ends up in the rural Australian village of Paris. Taken in by the Mayor (John Meillon), Arthur must navigate the tension between the corrupt town establishment and the wild new generation of Parisians - all of whom are concealing a horrific secret. 24 years before "The Truman Show", director Peter Weir gives us a surreal black comedy set in a sinister small town.
