Climate change, migration, disability, homelessness and sexuality are just some of the subjects explored in this groundbreaking anthology of twenty short films from twenty directors that together offer a unique snapshot of the UK in 2020. From comedies and dramas, through to documentaries and experimental pieces, made by a mix of established names and new talent, the collection reflects the state of our nation as seen by the twenty diverse filmmaking teams behind them. Bringing together artists working across film, TV, theatre, animation, dance and radio, The Uncertain Kingdom directors include Guy Jenkin (Drop the Dead Donkey), Iggy London (Black Boys Don't Cry), Carol Salter (Almost Heaven) and Jason Wingard (Eaten by Lions). The ensemble cast features Laurie Davidson (The Good Liar), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Andy Hamilton (What We Did on Our Holiday), Alice Lowe (Sightseers, Prevenge) and Ruth Madeley (Years & Years).
